#The Problem

There are 3 risks.

Legal - Legally property owners are responsible for providing a safe home for habitations. A property tenant may seek legal advice if there is meth residue suspected.

Financial - The costs can be quite high to remediate a property and require building material replacement. We can help provide a cost effective solution for remediating these building materials without needing to replace them. Additionally, we can have DIY test kits which can be used to discover contamination early to use to evict tenants before any further damage is incurred.

Health Risks - Due to meth contamination being odourless, it can adversely affect people with them knowing it. These health issues include, but not limited to, the following: Asthma, skin irritation, red eyes, sleeping problems, and headaches.

#The Solution

Identification of the contaminated property

If you suspect that there has been methamphetamine used or produced on your premises, we can efficiently identify any meth residue present. See our Meth Testing page for more information. (Please note that we cannot perform testing, scoping or assessment for properties that are police-identified, verified meth labs. However, we can clean these meth labs based on a scope of works that has been assessed by a professional occupational hygienist.)

Decontamination and Cleaning of Meth Residue

Methamphetamine, before it is consumed, starts as a solid. During the smoking process, it changes into a gas. Once the gas has cooled down, it settles onto surfaces and turns back into a solid. This is known as meth residue, and can be dangerous to occupants. Our decontamination process removes this residue, leaving your place safe to occupy.

#Meth Decontamination

Once we removed all the porous contents (carpets, curtains, soft contents) which cannot be cleaned properly, we use a prep wash to do an initial clean to the building. Once this is completed, we use a foaming solution to remove any remaining methamphetamine contamination.

3 Step Cleaning Process

Abrasion: Through the application of a foaming solution, we loosen the meth residue, priming it for removal.

Soaking: Once the foaming solution is applied, we leave the solution to sit for a period of time, ensuring that it penetrates all surfaces properly. Even walls that have been painted over after meth use can be cleaned if the foaming solution has been left on long enough to penetrate.

Removal: Once the solution has been dwelling a sufficient amount of time, the meth contamination can then be easily rinsed and extracted off the surface and disposed of offsite.

#How We Can Help You

  • Assessment and Testing - Through the use of sampling we can determine the levels of methamphetamine contamination to a property, and provide a report detailing the levels and a recommended course of action. See our Meth Testing page for more information.

  • DIY Testing Kits - If you require a quick test before making any decisions, we can provide you a DIY testing kit to confirm the presence of methamphetamine to the property. See our Meth Testing page for more information about the DIY Testing Kit.

  • Meth Residue Decontamination - Once the presence and level of meth has been identified, we can clean and decontaminate the property, making it safe to occupy again.
